This month, we revisited the Cooper & Co. showroom, a project proudly designed by Corso Design. Seeing the space continue to showcase one of Australia's much-loved homewares brands is always rewarding and a reminder of the lasting value thoughtful commercial design can provide.
When we first stepped into the space, it was filled with furniture and homewares, but without a clear journey for customers. Through strategic space planning and creative thinking, we reimagined the showroom into a series of carefully curated settings that naturally guide visitors from one collection to the next. By introducing clear sightlines, carefully defined zones and purposeful product groupings, we transformed what could have felt overwhelming into a space that feels organised, inspiring and easy to navigate.
The brief was clear: create a showroom where every furniture piece had its moment to shine. Rather than a space filled with products competing for attention, the goal was to design an environment where each collection could be appreciated on its own while still feeling connected to the overall showroom experience.
From the initial concept and spatial planning through to the detailed design and visual renders, every decision was made with purpose. The visual renders allowed the vision to be refined before construction, ensuring the final showroom delivered a cohesive experience that balanced functionality, flow and visual impact.
Revisiting the showroom was a great reminder that successful retail design isn't about fitting in more products, it's about presenting them in a way that captures attention, enhances their value and ultimately drives sales.

At Corso, we design spaces with purpose. Cooper & Co. is a great example of how strategic planning and thoughtful design can help products stand out, strengthen a brand and create a more engaging shopping experience.
